The Vision: Reimagining Axis Mundi
This year, Burning Man gathers under the theme of Axis Mundi — the cosmic pillar, the world tree, the ultimate center where heaven meets earth and humanity connects.
But what if this axis isn’t just a myth?
What if it physically exists on our planet?
200 years ago, a visionary astronomer Friedrich Georg Wilhelm Struve built a massive chain of 265 geodetic measurement points. Stretching 2,820 kilometers across 10 nations—from the Black Sea to the Arctic Circle—the Struve Geodetic Arc was created to measure the exact shape and size of our shared home: Planet Earth.
Today, geopolitics and borders attempt to divide us. But the Struve Arc remains—a silent, UNESCO-protected monument to human collaboration across borders.
“Struve Arc: Axis of Peace” is an international peace project that transforms this 19th-century scientific line into a 21st-century digital network of unity, love, and human connection.

The Human TriangulationIn 1816, scientists connected hilltops with triangles to find the mathematical truth of the Earth. In 2026, we connect human souls across coordinates to measure our collective desire for peace.We are building a Living Digital Meridian. People from all 10 countries of the Arc (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine) and global citizens from all over the world are pinning their locations onto our interactive map. Each pin is a face, a voice, and a message of peace sent directly to the desert.

We couldn’t bring a physical camp to Black Rock City this year, but we brought the energy of 10 nations straight to the dust.Through this platform, we are projecting a global, real-time message of unity directly into the heart of the Playa. Every video, every set of coordinates, and every peaceful wish shared by our online community lights up this digital meridian, proving that no matter how far apart we are, we all stand on the exact same axis.
