I recommended not wasting your time with fancy costumes your costume is gone get trashed. I have been at least 14 times.
I remember my first burning man I was wearing an evening gown.
It was just completely totaled in a dust storm.
Do not waste your money on fancy clothes —get a good pair of boots that will last a week or two out there through the worst conditions imaginable that are really comfortable.
Don’t worry about how they look and get a good pair of socks for every day.
And bring a clean pair of underwear for every day
-tons of baby wipes
– as for costumes you’re probably gonna wear the same freaking thing every day sorry but that’s what happens.
It’s gonna be really dirty but you probably are going to be so busy having fun that you won’t even care what you look like and you’re gonna be more beautiful than you have ever been just the way you are
– strangers will be giving you necklaces and scars and hats and there’s so many places you’re gonna go where you can make a costume and just be open to those possibilities.
You can also buy costumes in Reno and Gerlach if you want.
